Sib. 7.5: Booklet in one score
Posted by vsn38 - 24 Aug 03:37PM (edited 24 Aug 03:43PM)
Hello,
I have a question concerning multiple Titles in a score. Here is my problem.

I am working currently on a score divided in 15 pieces of music. I don't want to have 15 Sibelius files as they are mostly linked together. So my wish is to work on only one score containing the 15 pieces so that layout is barely straightforward for me and I can extract one pdf for each instrument containing all the parts and make a booklet.

Usually, for the layout of separated parts, I work with useful $Wildcards so that I can put the Title on the first page big enough and the instrument name, title, and page number on the head of following pages in tiny size (see the picture enclosed). It works very well for one piece but I want to extend this way of doing for these 15 pieces and hence, providing different $Title values.

I was wondering if there was any way to dynamically change the value of Wilcards (e.g. $Title for example) as the score evolves. When it's time for piece #2, an hidden text containing "$Title = piece#2" for example... :-)

I guess this is pure fantasy but is there a work around ? I know I can put multiple titles but I want my heads to be updated automatically so that I don't have to copy manually the evolving Title on the score.

I am looking forward to hearing from You.

I'm pretty sure that you will have to manually edit each title after the first, which I guess is no hardship as it only needs to be done in the score and carried automatically to the dynamic parts. I don't know if it is possible to create extra wildcards such as say "$Title2" etc. It would require extra fields in Score Info.
