Hi I'm trying to change the staff text styles for things like Technique Text by changing the Font and Size for the text style.

But after I edit those styles and press OK, the Technique Texts don't change in the score. But they should, shouldn't they?

I've tried selecting all the Technique Text in the score with the filter and editing the style after that but that doesn't work.

When I select all Technique Text with the filter and change the format from the ribbon, that works. But I was hoping to have it work with the edit text style dialog so I can save the changes as a House Style and import the settings onto future projects.

I should mention that this was an imported score from Finale if that makes a difference.

Just a guess. Have you tried filtering Technique and 'Reset Design' (Shift/Ctrl/D)

If the text object has ever had manual changes applied (such as on the Text tab or on the Inspector), then changing the underlying Text Style will not automatically update the text object. The automatic update applies only to text objects which were at the previous default text style settings. So, as Adrian suggests, use "Reset Design" on the relevant text objects to get them to adopt the new Text Style.
