I exported a Finale 2014 to MusicXML and imported to Sibelius. All of the tremolo measures were reduced to normal notes and, even though this is in 3/4 time, the measures that had tremolo were reduced to 3/8 or 2/8 time. The score still shows 3/4 time but the tremolo measures only have 3/8 or 2/8 in them.
What I had to do was to select these odd measures and re-input 3/4 time signature. The I delete the the time signature i just inputed. The resulting measures now have space for 3/4 time and I have to re-input the tremolo notes. This is a long process. Is there something I can do to fix this problem faster?

I contacted ngoog@makemusic.com as you suggested. This is the reply:

Thank you for sending in those files.

What adds to the problem here is that when I export and import the file from within the Music XML plug-in provided in the Finale program, I do not run into any issues. This tells us that the issue is within the Music XML plug-in in Sibelius or the Sibelius program itself. Unfortunately, this is a bit outside of our normal purview.

I will do my best to get my hands on a copy of Sibelius to see if I can find a way to get around it.

If anything, I will definitely notify the development team on this issue and we can try to track it down and use the Music XML plug-in.
