Sib. 6.x: Linking several instruments to a staff
Posted by Steve S - 20 Aug 02:22PM (edited 20 Aug 02:23PM)
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to link several instruments to a single staff?

I'd like to have separate settings (instrument or articulation, pan, volume, reverb, etc.,) or separate renderings of the exact same passage. I know it's possible to create hidden staves (which could be copied from the original) but that seems like a poorer way to implement this.

Sibelius works on the principle of one staff = one sound. So it will have to be the extra staves, I'm afraid.

Thanks for that information Laurence. Hmmm, I use Kontakt 5 which I think can stack instruments. So that must be the place to look for a nice solution.

Actually, a percussion sound is a note number on bank 127 (in MIDI terms, anyway).
