Sib. 7.5: Sharing Channels

Hi guys,

How can I set Sibelius to make two separate staves share the same channel without doing it in the mixer? eg. force sibelius to play flute and a newly created stave just beneath it play from channel 1?

Thanks Laurence.

This is the story. I purchased a template from Eliot Wright. The problem is that his template is for Symphonic Orchestra. I need to adapt it for Military Band. I asked Elliot for assistance but so far he is nor replying.

If you look at the attachments, you'll see a flute stave as well as it's keyswitch stave. They share the same channel in order for the EWQL SO keyswitches to work. Somehow, the mixer is automatically set to make both the same channel, as seen in the attachment.

I have 3 trumpet staves (Military Band)and included their keyswitch staves but I do not know how to let them share the same channel.

Can anybody advise.

PS. The attachments (in the following posts beneath) are the only places I could find anything to do with the Keyswitch staves.

Why not get the soundset for EWQLSO from The SoundSet Project? Then you won't need the KS staff

I did, but I also struggle to figure it out. I posted about it before here. The sounds are horrible. I need a proper video tutorial that explains EVERYTHING about the relationships between the soundset, mixer, devices, manual soundsets, soundID's etc.

Elliot's template also populates the play plugins automatically. The other soundset does not.

Will I ever understand this??
