Sib. 7.5: Well I never knew that! (Instrument Changes)

It seems that if you define a new Instrument in one score, it isn't necessary to Export a House Style to make it available in another.

Just open both scores at once, insert the appropriate Instrument Change and Copy/Paste it across. (The hidden oblong box, not the Text.) It gets added to the Instruments List.

Maybe you all knew this? I didn't. Thanks to Darren Mitchell, on the mail list.

You can do the same thing with text and symbols that are defined only in one score - copy from the one where defined, and then paste into the other one. I sometimes prefer to do that than have a house style because that means that the object and its possibly supporting properties are all that gets transferred.

I have never done it with an instrument change, though. Kind of makes you wonder what other kinds of user-defined objects can be transferred via copy/paste.
