How do I group two or more PDFs into one PDF?

I am having troubles appending movements that have different numbers of staves. I would prefer to create a separate PDF for each movement, then group these into one PDF.

This is a feature of Adobe Acrobat, and other cheaper or free PDF-manipulation applications.

PDF995 works for me and has many other features.

Remember that after you append several PDFs you'll probably want to add page numbers across the whole bundle. That's a feature in Acrobat.

Then you might want to add a table-of-contents. That's not a feature of Acrobat, and I haven't found any way to do it but manually (ouch!).

Thanks. As noted in another recent Forum post, I renumbered my pages so all page backs are printed on, rather than leaving the default of every mvt beginning on a RH (odd-numbered) page, which gives some blank even-numbered pages. I have renumbered the 4 mvts in the Score and in each of the Parts, so the numbers are consecutive for each (Score = p1-59; Parts = p1-24 or so, plus cover page), not consecutive throughout the entire group of pages.

The PDFs I will add together (with a program such as others have suggested in this thread) are the 4 mvts for the Score in one PDF, and the 4 mvts for each of 6 Parts in their 6 separate PDFs. 7 PDFs total.

I will offer Score and Parts for download online. I thot I'd offer a separate PDF for the Score and each of the 6 Parts: 7 PDFs in all. My reason is so each portion can be printed immediately, without splitting apart a large PDF into its 7 constituent parts.

Is it usual to supply only one large aggregated PDF that includes Score and all Parts? Is it common for print shops or schools to be able to print these as booklets (or separate pages) from one large aggregated PDF? Are there advantages to only one large PDF? Disadvantages to 7 smaller PDFs? It (currently) seems to me that 7 smaller PDFs are more advantageous than 1 large PDF.

Is a Table of Contents necessary for what I am doing? Seems not, to me.
