some of my scores have a strange box at the top with numbers that look like margins or layouts.

22.2.38
3

What is it, and how do I get rid of it?

Those look like Hit Points--

Pls see p 572 Sib 713 pd ref manual and attachment here.

"Deleting existing hit points

If you wish to remove a hit point from the score, you can do so from Play > Video > Hit Point >
Edit Hit Points. Select the hit point you wish to delete, then click Delete. If you wish to delete all
hit points from your score, click Delete All."
