Hello.
I am trying to edit the vertical position of lyrics before I insert them. When I go to Edit text style with the vertical position tab - I can't change the position. Any clues?

Yes, that's where you'd think it would be. But it's here (see attached screen grab).

Not exactly intuitive! Up until now I have been manually selecting each word and shifting it down - a very long and painful process:)

How about editing the vertical positIon after I have entered the lyrics? Is there a way to do it other than selecting each lyric and dragging?

Change the setting, Select All (or filter for Lyrics if you want other objects to be unaffected) then Reset Position.

"Reset Position" is on the Layout tab of the ribbon, but is most commonly used through its keyboard shortcut:

Ctrl-Shift-P on Windows
Command-Shift-P on Mac OS

You will possibly find it quicker to get answers to questions such as yours by searching the Reference Manual (press F1 in Sibelius): that will give answers more quickly than waiting fir responses on this forum.
