I'm doing a transcription that show 2 voices in 3/4 time. Voice 1 has a quarter rest then a half note. Voice 2 has all eight notes. the third eight not is a b, same as the half note in the first voice. The notes are not side by side. The half note is right on top of the eight note in voice 2. Makes is look like the eight note has a half note head. Is there a way of putting a half not head on an eight note?

First, in a section where there are multiple voices, ensure that:
- notes with stems up are in Voice 1 or 3;
- notes with stems down are in Voices 2 or 4.

Then, if there are inappropriate noteheads overlaid, move one notehead half a width left, and the other notehead half a width right, using the Inspector X-coordinate.

What I really want is to replace an eighth note note head with half note note head. I have to replicate the original (right or wrong). My work around was to make the aforementioned eighth note a headless (steam only) note and move it along side the half note to give the impression that the half note has a stem going up (half note) and a steam going down (eight note). I thought that Sibelius might have had a feature tondo this.

Easiest thing is to create a new notehead style - Notations>Noteheads>New - which has a minim notehead for a crotchet, and just use that where you require it. A lot easier than trying to move stuff about.
