Can anyone please explain why the 4-string Bass Guitar [tab] does display note stems, rests or repeat signs.

Did you mean "does NOT"? It can display stems, but not, I think, the other two.

... and I just read your question again. The repeat bar sign from the fifth keypad layout is really hidden when stems and rests are hidden. That must be a bug. selecting and "unhiding" it doesn't have any effect.

When you check the box to show rests and stems for the instrument, the repeat bar sign shows again, though.

I doubt this has been fixed in 7.5. Can anyone confirm?
