A simple problem, can't solve it. As noted in the help manual, cautionary symbols are included at the end of the last bar of the preceding piece of a sequence of appended scores/files. It states they can be hidden. Most of them I can hide, but not the cautionary Time Sig. sign. In my version it won't highlight by clicking to allow 'Hide'.
I'm sure there is a solution but..............

Insert a new time signature at the same point, but untick 'allow cautionary'. This should get rid of the original ts and its cautionary. The new ts won't have one.

Best also to do the same thing with any cautionary key signatures - doing this for both will re-position any final barline correctly as well.

Thanks Mike and Richard. That worked well. I do note that a space remains in the place where some objects eg., Key sigs have been hidden. Not that it matters, just the end bar doesn't quite line up with right page margin.

To correct the spacing, highlight the bar then press cmd/shift/n, or on PC ctrl/shift/n.

Have you tried the "Tidy appended scores" plug-in?

Thanks Ian and Robin. The Ctrl/shift/n is a new trick to me and solves the problem.
I will download the "Tidy appended scores" plug-in, but found that my Windows 7 doesn't have a default Unzip so I will get 7-Zip as recommended. Meanwhile Trend warned me about malicious software associated with that download so I'll get some advice before proceeding.

Windows 7 has a built-in un-zip. Just right-click on the .zip file and select "Extract all" from the right-click menu.

You're quite right Robin. I had seen the "Extract all" from the right-click menu, but incorrectly assumed there was a step missing before that would work.
I'm struggling with the next step-getting it installed. I did read the Sib.com/download/plugins/ instruction but can't seem to navigate through the correct path in Win 7 following the instructions for the preceding versions of Windows. I'll keep at it. And I appreciate your help.

The instructions for plug-in installation are the same under Windows 7 as they were in Vista.
