I suppose it should be mentioned that "Not supported on" doesn't necessarily mean "won't run on".

It will be interesting to see if Sibelius 7.5 has anything to tempt those who have so far stuck with Sibelius 6.

The article says:

Sibelius 7.5, it's successor, requiring Windows 7 or later.

which, however grammatically challenged, says to me that Windows 7 or later is required in order to run Sibelius 7.5.

Does anybody know when 7.5 will appear?

This will probably fragment the user base even further,as some current users will be on version 6, 7.1.3, and 7.5.

At least they will continue support for 7.1.3. I wonder if 7.1.3 will still be available for sale after 7.5 ships?

A number of people have mentioned wishing that Sib 6 were still available for sale, but that would probably require offering support for it as well.

I thought I`d stick with 5 until 7 came along. I didn`t want to get left behind, so I waited until 7 was established, then I asked (craftily) if there were any copies of 6 gathering dust still lying on the shelves, which may ultimately would have been disposed of. The `bargain` was indeed forthcoming. If I purchased 7, then 6 would be given to me.
I now use 6 all the time, whereas 7 is still in its box. I will continue to use 6 now as I don`t mind getting left behind (at 71). But even with 6 I find that ML can be frustrating. :)

Personally, I find Magnetic Layout to be one of the best features ever implemented in Sibelius. My requirements may well be different from yours, of course.

Yes I understand this, and my ML is on *all* the time except when I need to switch individual cases off in order to adjust further re-positioning.
I`m sure there must be many cases that crop up when an individual ML needs to be moved.
