Sib. 7.1.3: repeated/redundant dynamics
Posted by Piotr Kolodziej - 08 Feb 05:20AM (edited 08 Feb 05:21AM)
I am working on a project, where composer used dynamics very often (the same marking, every 2-3 measure). I need to remove redundant items.
Is there any option/plugin, that check the score for such elements. I know, there's plugin, that checks redundant clefs (etc.) and what about dynamics?

Any ideas?

The problem is that Sibelius can't really know what dynamics are considered redundant by the user. You can filter whole bars for dynamics and remove them, but you will have to be careful not to remove ones that you really do want to be retained.

I'd also like an immediate visual way of seeng which dynamic etc is attached to which stave. Composers who tend to over-notate are often also sloppy about attachment, leading to chaos when the Parts are printed.

Select All does reveal the attachment lines, but they hardly stand out from the selection background.

I guess this may come down to another request for user-definable colours for everything.

The Check Attachments plugin might be some help for the problem of attachment to the wrong staff.

I don't know of anything to help with overly repeated dynamics.
