Hello all.

I've just installed the Sib7 trial, and I'm trying my best to get into it. I've found out that searching this forum can solve almost any problem.

I use a trick I found on the Finale forum years ago:

Make any bookmark in your browser.
Edit the name to e.g. "Search".
Edit the address and copy the following into the adress field:

javascript:Qr=prompt('Search%20Site%20for','');if(Qr)location.href='http://www.google.com/search?&q=site:'+encodeURIComponent(window.location.hostname)+'+'+escape(Qr)

(Yes, just copy all of it - don't mind that some of it is marked as a link)
Make a shortcut for the bookmark. (Mine is Cmd-1)

Anytime I want to search the forum, I press Cmd-7 which opens the Sibelius forum.
Then I press Cmd-1 which (now) brings up a search field.

I find it a lot more efficient than the forum's own search engine.

I have it in the bookmark bar in Safari, so a single click brings it up for any site I happen to be on at the time.

Thanks to a finale user for mentioning it on the motunation forum.
