Sib. 7.1: page number position after page number change
Posted by fusa - 15 Sep 08:45PM
Normally even page numbers are positioned on the left site and odd ones on the right. When I change the page numbers to insert a page 3a to fold out, and another change back to page 4 on the next page, even numbers appear on right sites and vice versa.
Is there a way to change this behavior, or do I have to insert a blank page?
If so, how can I hide the header with the instrument name on only this one page to get a real blank page?

I should imagine that you would need to insert a blank page after the fold-out as in reality the back of the fold-out page is blank!, and then change number back to the page 4 on the next L.H page (I.e. after the fold-out pp).
Thanks for raising this one as I have always assumed that what was given went and never tried to alter it (and I have done quite a few fold-outs). You have made me think about this one!

Sibelius isn't clever enough to know that you actually want to insert two pages if you choose to insert only one, I'm afraid. It's clever, but it can't read your mind!

So yes, if you want 3a followed by a blank page followed by 4, you need to insert a blank page. If you want to hide the header on your blank page, try importing a white graphic onto that page and positioning it over the header.

Thanks,
I managed to hide it with white text of same content and format.
Curiously it's not covered by the delete background option.

Delete Background puts the text on top of a white block. You want one in front of it!
