Playback devices/ Configurations

How can I get rid of unwanted configurations in playback devices? I have been able to do this before but as always I forgot to make a note of how I did it. Any help would be appreciated, John Dodd.

You can just open Playback Devices, load the playback configuration in question, and click Delete.

Tahnkyou for that, I know this but I have an awful lot to get rid of and I'm sure there is somewhere within the computer that I can access these configurations. If I can't find the way I'll just have to do it the long way. Thanks very much for your help. Best wishes John.

I cleared a load recently. User name> Library> Application Support> Avid (for Sib 7) or Sibelius Software (for Sib 6)> then go to the folder labelled with either Sibelius 6 or Sibelius 7. The Playback Configurations folder will be in there and you can delete as necessary.
Of course, once the old configs are deleted, you may be asked where they are when opening an old score that used them

If you're using Sibelius 5, it's

/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Sibelius Software/Sibelius 5/Playback Configurations

If it's Sibelius 6, it's

/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Sibelius Software/Sibelius 6/Playback Configurations

If it's Sibelius 7, it's

/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Avid/Sibelius 7/Playback Configurations
