Sib. 7.1: M-Audio General MIDI Module data not found
Posted by Dave Camlin - 10 Aug 04:43AM
Hi - I was having a problem with old drivers on an M-Audio Radium 49 Keyboard so updated the drivers. Now, when I try to load Sibelius, I get the above error meesage, and 'Please run the app in the General MIDI Module Data folder and re-start the plug-in,' followed by a 'Sibelius.exe has stopped working' window and the program needs to be closed.

I've uninstalled the drivers, re-installed old ones, re-installed Sibelius, but still the same error message.

From loking around on other responses to similar crash messages, it sounds like it might be related to the GM_Module.dll which I'm happy to live without, just can't find it on my system to remove it.

Any help much appreciated - I can't actually do any work at the moment, and I need to re-score some music for a rehearsal next Tuesday.

Yeah, just ignore that - found the GM_Module.dll in the Sibelius 6 VST folder, removed it and now back in business.
