Sib. 5.x: Re-Registering Sibelius 5?
Posted by Ross Tucker - 07 Nov 09:03PM
I just upgraded to Sibelius 7 from Sibelius 5 on my home computer. My school computer has Sibelius 5 on it (I'm not sure it will support a Sibelius 7 upgrade). Anyway - my school computer died last week and I was given a new school computer today. Today, I re-installed Sibelius 5 on the new computer, but it's not letting me re-register it. Can anyone from Sibelius please help me? I will have Sibelius 5 on my school computer and Sibelius 7 on my home computer (just the 2 downloads- as permitted).
Thank you!

You can't re-register Sibelius 5 after having upgraded to Sibelius 7. If you want to re-register an older version, you have to contact our support team. Please complete the form here:

http://avid.force.com/Support/RegistrationCaseCreation

explaining the situation, and including your Sibelius serial number.

I upgraded my home computer to Sibelius 7 by purchasing the 'download'.
Is it still possible to request the Sibelius 7 discs to be sent to me so that I can try to upgrade to Sibelius 7 on my school computer?
Thanks.

Yes, you can still buy a set of replacement discs (as they are known) for Sibelius 7:

Thank you. I did contact them 2-3 days ago and still have not heard.
I don't want my 15 day period before I 'must' register to run out.
I received a case number, etc.
When do you I might expect to hear from someone?
Thank you.
