for one piece i'd like to exchange the note flags by hooks, since as eighth/sixteenth notes etc. only appear as single duration between longer notes.

which symbol do you use as a hook? the tremolo/flatterzunge beam? (which also would need to be turned 180°)

solved it. found a font type called fughetta.

You can beam the eight note to a hidden rest (select rest and press 8 on 3d keypad). Next move the rest to the left or off-set to shorten the beam.

Or you can change the flag symbols in the Edit Symbols dialog for the straight flags symbols provided in Opus Special.
