Sib. 6.x: Keypad stuck

The keypad is stuck at the top of my screen. I downloaded http://www.sibelius.com/helpcenter/resources/Sib6_window_fix.reg. When I doubleclick the file, it merely displays as text in Notepad.

What's next?

Thanks Richard, but that link is where I downloaded Sib6_window_fix.reg -- which did not fix the problem. In Windows 7, the reg file displays as text on Notepad, instead of changing the registry.

Against my better judgment, I tried running the reg file with regedit. I was able to get the reg file to run, but when I started Sibelius again, the keypad was still stuck at the top of the screen. Rebooting did not help.

Then I decided to try the solution posted for this problem in Sibelius 7, even though I am running Sibelius 6: deleting the scorewindowpos.xml file. I found the file in users/mark/Appdata/Roaming/Sibelius Software/Sibelius 6. I deleted it. Success. The keypad appeared where it should appear.

Evidently, this is a much safer solution than messing around with the Windows 7 Registry.

That's just what double-clicking it SHOULD have done!
