Sib. 6.x: (6.2) Set Metronome Mark
Posted by Andrew Chuka - 30 Jul 09:49PM
When I set a metronome mark at the beginning of the score using Plug-ins>Other>Set Metronome Mark, instead of playing back at the metronome mark's speed, it plays back at quarter=70, no matter what speed I choose. The second metronome mark in the score, however, works perfectly. Why is this happening?

BTW since I thought that the first post would be "Post an attachment here, then we can help", I have attached the score.

Because you have a metronome mark "Maestoso" which sets 70.

By the way, "Maestoso" is set in Lucida Grande.

Thanks. I didn't know those words impacted the score as well. What does Lucida Grande have to do with anything?

Maestoso is defined in the playback dictionary as quarter = 70. When conflicting commands are attached to the same place in the score, it's a tossup which one Sibelius is going to obey. I'd open the properties window and turn off play-on-pass for the Maestoso.
