Sib. 6.2: Sibelius on a Tablet/Slate
Posted by Julian David Bryson (ASCAP) - 17 May 02:56AM
I am looking into buying a new laptop, and have started investigating the new Windows 7 Slate/Tablet PCs that are emerging. Has anyone tried Sibelius 6 on one of these devices (Asus EEE Slate, HP Slate 500, Dell Latitude XT2, for examples).

There is a certain lure to being able to control Sibelius without using a mouse, but I'm not quite willing to take a chance on one of these devices not working as expected. I would still use a bluetooth keyboard for the key commands.

I would be wary that the screen resolution on these devices is insufficiently high to access all of Sibelius's UI elements, in particular larger dialog boxes like Print, Engraving Rules, Preferences, and so on.
