Why is it that the triplet bracket (used over a crotchet/quaver pair when wanting to indicate two quavers to be played in a swing rhythm) is so poorly positioned? I would expect it to be above the note stems by default or adjustable (which it isn't).

Use Create > Text > Other System Text > Metric modulation for this instead of Tempo.

I prefer "Swing 8's" rather than the metric text. What you actually want is neither pedantic 8ths or pedantic triplets - but something in between. The players need to take ownership of this concept rather than be told "You're classical players who can't swing, so I'll write you an approximation."
