How do I get sibelius to input chord symbols without me having to put in any chords? I have done it before on an older version, but I have forgotten how I did it.

You can use the 'Add Chord Symbols' Plugin for this... >Plug-ins >Chord Symbols.

Add Chord Symbols analyzes selected notes and generates chords names for the notes. So you have to have notes selected before running the plugin, and they have to have multiple notes at the same location to be interpreted as notes.

If you just have a melody and are looking for harmonies, the Add Simple Harmony plugin can give you a start. It will produce chord symbols, though they will not likely be the ones you want in all cases.

Help please! I have Sibelius 8.4 and want to add chord symbols automatically to a clarinet duet. I've never done this before. I go to Text/Chord symbols/add from notes. A wide green line appears briefly but nothing actually happens. Any ideas extremely welcome
