Sib. 6.2: Rehearsal marks as numbers NOT letters?
Posted by Brian Bergin - 15 Sep 08:42PM
In many scores, measures have rehearsal numbers marked but not every measure so when I'm transposing a part, say from bass cleff baritone to TC baritone I need to add those rehearsal #'s to the score but so far in 6.2 I only find ways to add letters not blocked numbers. Is there any way to do this?

Go To House Styles > Engraving Rules > Rehearsal Marks and there are options including using numbers.

Note:
You might want to tick the 'Hide at rehearsal marks' box in Enraving Rules for Bar Numbers when using bar numbers as rehearsal marks!

If you have bar numbered rehearsal marks to mark form every 8 measures or so, there should be no need to number every measure. They are unnecessary clutter which most often cause confusion to poorly sited players reading notes below the staff. They can easily be mistaken for accidentals or dynamics. I know. I was one of those players before having my cataract operation and I still hate the clutter.
