I want 4 measures to a score page!!!!!! I used the the "two bar repeat sign" on my drum kit part and Sibelius gave me two pages of 8 measures. I want 4 and can't seem to get back to it! Any words of advice? My auto break is set to 4 but does not get my pages back to 4 !

Richard,

You cannot break a two bar repeat into 2 systems.
The piece has 113 bars so, as possibility, 1 page should have at least 5
bars.
If I undo format for the whole piece and then force 5 bars to system 1, then
the rest of the pages has 4 bars on it.

I find layout a rather confusing subject, but I suspect you have too many different types of page formatting layered on top of each other. I got the score back to 4 measures per page by unlocking the formatting for the entire score, turning of auto layout and then manually entering page breaks every 4 measures.

For some reason (perhaps somebody else will explain this!) auto layout still left page 4 with 5 measures.

Hey guys- I figured it out but don't understand why?? I simply went "unlock format" and applied it to the whole score as Jan kind of suggested. It gave me three bars with the pick up measure on page 1, and four bars to a page for the rest of the piece. That's a start!!!

Hey Rich,

Something you may look into in the future is making shortcut keys for:
Make into System (I use "Y")
Make into Page (I use "U")
other than the ones already assigned. They get much use!

Also, there is a plugin called:
Other>Make Layout Uniform
that works w/bars you select or whole score if nothing selected.

(Still, you must beware Repeat Bars.)
