I REALLY miss being able to select a note, press play and have the playback start from the selected note. Is that really gone from Sib5 or am I failing to find a box to tick for that? Is Y + spacebar the only solution?

'p' does this for you in the default short cut set, I believe.

You must not press 'play' (the green triangle in the playback control) to start playing from a selected note: you have to press the letter 'p'.
With 'play' the playback starts from where it stopped the last time you played.

P does that. But be careful what you select. Select a note or a
barline - full playback of the score from that point. Select a bar
(or range of bars) - playback of only that instrument. Can be
useful, but don't do it by mistake!
