Admittedly, I'm fairly new to 5.1. I could get the MIXER window up to yesterday but now there is no sign of it anywhere. Playback seems to be working ok and Kontakt 2 and the computer's own sound card show as activated devices.
I'm probably being really stupid but ..... where could it be!

When you press M or Window > Mixer, you get nothing?

If all else fails, Jacqui, you should be able to bring the Mixer back by
trashing Sibelius's preferences. See here:

I thought I had responded to this but it doesn't seem to have registered. Anyway, thanks to all who offered help. Glad to say that I have the mixer window back again. I found that the wrong folder name was specified in the Audio Engine options (see Playback devices window). The obvious looking one "Kontakt 2" is not the correct one. I'm not at my own computer so I'm not certain of the name but I think it begins with "VS....". James Sarsteiner (for Jacqui Armstrong)

Sorry for not responding before now. Was "away". No; I get nothing from WINDOW>MIXER. It does show it as Ticked but nothing on the screen.

Did you, by any chance, drag the Mixer to the bottom of the screen? I have done that a number of times, and when I repeated hit "M" it appears/reappears, only I can't see it because only the tip is showing at the bottom of the monitor. Worth a try...

Thanks for all responses to this. Glad to report I found the answer rummaging around the audio engine option in the devices window. The wrong file was selected.

Thanks to all who responded to my query. Glad to say I have found that which was lost by "rummaging around" the Audio Engine Options in the Devices window. The wrong file-name had somehow been specified.

Nevertheless, the Mixer window can get lost for other reasons (as has happened to me), so you still may need to use Daniel's cure. You can, for example, use regedit (in Windows) to just delete the Mixer key, which does the job.
