I have been using Sibelius 5.1 successfully and suddenly when I open a score I am met with a red 'X' informing me that 'File was not found. Please check if Library was installed correctly'. I have uninstalled Sibelius Essentials and re-installed it four times. It made no difference. Would GREATLY appreciate any suggestions!
Thank you,
Gloria
Okay, so check that you have two files called 'Sibelius Sounds Essentials_001.nkx' and 'Sibelius Sounds Essentials_002.nkx' in C:\Program Files\Sibelius Software\Sibelius Sounds\Essentials.

Then I suggest you put your Sibelius 5 DVD-ROM back into your computer's disc drive, and when the menu appears, click 'Install Sibelius Sounds Essentials'. Follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall Sibelius Sounds Essentials, and be sure to wait for it to complete: it may take several minutes, during which time it may appear that the computer has frozen, but eventually it will report successful installation.

Tried this, waited until it was 'successfully' installed but the result is exactly the same - the two files you mentioned are not there and the problems remain. I'm lost!
Just had a thought - I am installing on a new laptop that didn't have a previous version of Sibelius on it. However, it worked fine from this CD now. Perhaps I need to download something else?

If it's still not working after reinstallation, and the reinstallation reportedly completed successfully, I'd suggest you contact our technical support team and ask them for a replacement DVD-ROM. You can call them on the number below.
