Sib. 4.x: copy and paste without loosing spacing of the lyrics
Posted by Klemens Wolf - 15 Jun 08:23PM (edited 15 Jun 09:53PM)
I have done many songs with lyrics in one single document. For a better spacing of the lyrics I made many little spacing corrections with the mouse.
Now I want to change the order of the songs, without loosing the corrections.
If I copy a part with double-bluebox and paste it on the right place, all my spacings get lost. Also if I use the format-fix-function.

I just tried this, and it works for me as expected.

Maybe you have a problem with rhythmic positions? Has the target score
another margin such that the music is spread out differently from the
source score?

Switch View > Attachment lines on and watch that when you drag a lyrics
sideways how it attaches to other rhythmic positions. If you later
paste the result somewhere else and the music is respaced, this may
affect the absolute position of lyrics.

To avoid this, select lyrics and edit the X position in Window >
Properties > General > X.

Maybe you can cut one page or system of your score and attach it here
and explain where copying goes wrong?
