Aligning text objects
Posted by Famous Beagle - 09 May 11:45PM (edited 09 May 11:46PM)
Hi,

I'm trying to find a way to make sure the title, arrangement, etc. info is aligned horizontally for a piece. See red line in image.

I've searched but can't seem a find a way.

Thanks!

Select text. Goto Text/Styles/Edit/Vertical YPos. Choose Snap to top or bottom of page. I normally set this to 0 mm from top margin for part name and composer. You can do the same for title. Arranger text is normally tagged onto composer, but you can edit horizontal XPos to Align to page left if you don't need part name.

Yes snap to top of page, or set your default positions carefully and reset position. Just be aware that composer credits are usually below the title, not inline with the top like that.

Thank you. I'm editing files for someone who has requested that those all be aligned like that. 🙂

Blimey! Justin, I didn't know that was a rule.
I always snap partname & composer to 0 mm from top margin and pull title down a bit. Dunno why. Just thought it looked nice.

Yeah that's definitely not the norm.
