You can download a free update to the latest version of G7 here.

The free download includes the following improvements:

  • New features to improve Flexi-time input from MIDI guitars
  • Chord diagrams can now have fingering text above or below them, and more chord shapes are supported
  • G7 can now export TIFF graphics
  • G7 can now import files from Finale, Finale Guitar and other MakeMusic! Inc. products
  • Fully compatible with Mac OS X 10.3 Panther

However, the following extra features are only available in G7 Kontakt Edition:

  • Kontakt Player sample player, with 20 high-quality instrumental samples
  • Save As Audio Track feature, to allow easy creation of tracks for burning onto audio CDs
  • Revised and updated Guitar Guide with new, high-quality photographic illustrations

The upgrade to G7 Kontakt Edition costs $29, and is shipped on CD.
